The following policies are enforced whether staff are available or not. By entering the fitness club, you acknowledge and agree to comply with all club policies. πŸ“‹ Westerly Fitness Access & Facility Policies

πŸ”‘ Access & Fob Use

  • All members must successfully scan in with their assigned fob and ensure door is closed behind them. No sharing fobs or entering without a successful scan

  • Do NOT hold the door for anyone, under any circumstance. A $50 fee / termination of membership may be charged for holding the door or letting someone in who did not successfully scan

  • The door must close fully behind you when you enter

  • Members may only enter during the access hours included with their membership plan (Extended or Staffed)

  • Unauthorized entry is strictly prohibited

    • Entering during hours your membership does not include

    • Slipping in behind another member

    • Entering during the 5-second delay before door re-locks

    • Forcing or pulling the door after a failed scan

    • Entering when your fob is declined for any reason (billing, termination, access level)

  • Unauthorized entry fee $50. Second offense results in immediate termination of membership

  • Fobs must be clean and functional. Replacement cost is $10

  • Door not opening? Check phone for a software text. Contact staff during staffed hours to resolve the issue.

  • If you occasionally forget your fob, call 401-315-0115 or press doorbell. Repeated incidents will require a replacement fob or denied access

  • If no staff are present, no fob = no access

🧍Guest Privileges

  • Members are fully and financially responsible for the actions of their guest

  • Guest passes are permitted with specific membership plans on specific days (ask staff if you are unsure)

  • Guest are only permitted during posted staffed hours when staff are physically present in the gym

  • All Guests are required to stop at the front desk to check in with staff before exercising and must have a signed waiver on file

  • If staff are unexpectedly unavailable (in other words not physically present) your guest is not permitted in the gym

  • We will make our best effort to post clear signage on the door when staff are unexpectedly not present. For real-time updates check our social media

  • Member and guest may remain in the gym beyond staffed hours however if member chooses to leave the guest must also leave

  • Bringing a guest on ineligible days, outside posted staffed hours, or when staff are not physically present is a violation and will result in a $50 fee or immediate permanent ban with no refund

πŸ”ž Minors

  • Minors (ages 13–17) must have a parent or guardian sign all paperwork before beginning use of the facility. Minors are permitted to access the gym only during posted staffed hours and may not enter or remain in the facility outside of those times. Example: If staffed hours end at 7:00 PM, all minors must exit the facility at that time. This is a requirement of insurance and is non-negotiable.

🧼 Cleanliness & Gym Etiquette

  • All equipment must be wiped down and weights re-racked after use

  • Restrooms must be left clean. You are expected to clean up any mess and wipe down countertops and mirrors. Do not flush feminine products. Report issues or maintenance concerns by texting 401-315-0115

  • In Athletic Training Zone: Heavy bags, cardio machines, FitBench are for class only

  • Chalk is not allowed

  • Clothing must be worn at all times. This includes shirts, pants, shoes.

  • ➀ Policy violations: $50 fee and/or permanent ban

🚨 Emergencies & Security

  • If a serious emergency occurs and staff are unavailable:

  1. Dial 911 immediately: Provide location: Westerly Fitness, 231 high st., westerly

  2. Check for breathing & pulse: If unresponsive, begin CPR immediately

  3. Use the AED: Located by the front entrance. Follow voice prompts

  4. Direct first responders: If others are present, assign someone to wait at the front door to guide emergency services in

  5. Text management at 401-315-0115: Once emergency personnel are on-site, alert management of the situation

  6. Pull fire alarm only as an ABSOLUTE last resort: This will unlock the magnetic door system.

🚫 Prohibited Conduct

  • Guests may not stay without their sponsoring member nor are they permitted on unstaffed holidays or when staff are not physically in the facility

  • Fob sharing is a serious violation: $100 fee and permanent ban

  • Allowing unauthorized person(s) into the gym

  • Outside trainers are not permitted. Only Westerly Fitness staff may provide training

  • Opening any emergency exit or window for non-emergency reasons will result in a $50 fee.

  • Remaining in the gym after posted closing times and after lights shut off will result in immediate termination of membership

πŸ”Š TV, Music, Retail, Water

  • TVs and music systems may not be operated during unsupervised hours. Members are prohibited from turning them on

  • Towel and retail services are unavailable during unsupervised times

  • Water refill stations remain open

  • The gym is under 24/7 surveillance. Fob activity is logged and reviewed daily

  • Termination of membership due to policy violations are not subject to any refund
