The following policies are enforced whether staff are available or not. By entering the fitness club, you acknowledge and agree to comply with all club policies. If you do not agree with these policies, please do not access the facility. Unsupervised hours and policies are subject to change without notice. All members must scan their key fob to enter and ensure door is closed behind them. Tailgating (holding the door for others) is strictly prohibited
Holding the door for anyone, even those claiming they โforgot their fobโ, will incur a $50 fine and/or permanent ban
Fobs must be clean and functional. Replacement cost is $10
Entry is denied if billing fails. Access is restored once payment is made
If you occasionally forget your fob, call 401-315-0115 or press doorbell. Repeated incidents will require a replacement fob or denied access
If no staff are present, no fob = no access
Access to the gym during extended (unsupervised) hours is reserved to qualifying memberships
Members are fully and financially responsible for the actions of their guest
Members with guest pass privilege included in membership may only bring a guest during staffed hours:
Now - October 31, 2025: 6a-8p weekdays, 7a-2p Sat, 7a-12p Sun
Beginning November ,1 2025: 7amโ7pm weekdays, 7amโ12pm weekends
Guest and member are required to stop at the front desk to check in and must have a signed waiver to be kept on file
If no staff are present a sign stating so will be on the front door and front desk
The member must text 401-315-0115 with their full name, membership type, and guest name
The guest must sign the guest sign-in form
Bringing a guest on ineligible days, outside posted staffed hours, or choosing not to have guest sign the guest form, is a direct violation of policy. Violations will result in a $50 fine or immediate permanent ban with no refund
Minors (ages 13โ17) must have a parent or guardian sign all paperwork before beginning use of the facility. Minors are permitted to access the gym only during posted staffed hours and may not enter or remain in the facility outside of those times. Example: If staffed hours end at 7:00 PM, all minors must exit the facility at that time
All equipment must be wiped down and weights re-racked after use
Restrooms must be left clean. You are expected to clean up any mess and wipe down countertops and mirrors. Do not flush feminine products. Report issues or maintenance concerns by texting 401-315-0115
In Athletic Training Zone: Heavy bags, cardio machines, and FitBench are for class only
Chalk is not allowed

If a serious emergency occurs and staff are unavailable:
Dial 911 immediately: Provide location: Westerly Fitness, 231 high st., westerly
Check for breathing & pulse: If unresponsive, begin CPR immediately
Use the AED: Located by the front entrance. Follow voice prompts
Direct first responders: If others are present, assign someone to wait at the front door to guide emergency services in
Text management at 401-315-0115: Once emergency personnel are on-site, alert management of the situation
Pull fire alarm only as an ABSOLUTE last resort: This will unlock the magnetic door system.
Guests may not stay without their sponsoring member
Fob sharing is a serious violation: $100 fine and permanent ban
Outside trainers are not permitted. Only Westerly Fitness staff may provide training
Opening any emergency exit or window for non-emergency reasons will result in a $50 fine.
๐ TV, Music, Retail, Water
TVs and music systems may not be operated during unsupervised hours. Members are prohibited from turning them on
Towel and retail services are unavailable during unsupervised times
Water refill stations remain open
The gym is under 24/7 surveillance. Fob activity is logged and reviewed daily
Lights shut off automatically after posted hours. Remaining in the building afterward results in termination
